Job Description

A Forest School Leader plans, delivers, and manages outdoor learning sessions, fostering children’s development while ensuring safety and promoting the Forest School ethos.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan, prepare and deliver a range of Forest School sessions with children across the school
  • Further develop and promote the Forest School
  • Plan and deliver the Forest School Curriculum through weekly sessions to year groups of children as specified at agreed times in the year
  • Deliver weekly Forest School Nurture group provision to support children's specific social, communication, behaviour or wellbeing needs
  • Promote the values and ethos of the school
  • Provide appropriate advice and guidance to volunteers or support staff assisting with sessions

Requirements

  • Forest School Lead qualification
  • Early Years qualification at Level 2/3
  • Experience working with all age groups within Early Years
  • A true love for child development and care
  • Able and willing to work in a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, your peers and parents
  • High levels of care and empathy that every opportunity can be a learning opportunity
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework
