Job Responsibility

  • In-depth vehicle mechanical investigations
  • Obtain engine fluid and various samples
  • Vehicle research including recalls and technical bulletins
  • Provide and prepare oral and written reports

Requirements

  • 8+ years of vehicle service experience
  • ASE certifications or ability to obtain immediately
  • Other certifications considered along with body repair
  • Associates Degree a plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with all types of cars, trucks and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Accident Reconstruction experience a BIG plus

Nice to have

  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain personnel records and process security/badge access clearances
  • coordinate cost tracking and expense reporting for Protective Programs teams, ensuring compliance with internal/external regulations
  • manage the collection of documentation prior to it being to be passed to Senior Managers on the team
  • review and track information such as monthly metrics, budget tracking, expenses
  • evaluate accuracy of documentation and resulting metrics, edit documentation and reports when inaccuracies are found
  • manage the input of intelligence information, budgetary data, and case date for further analysis
  • compile and approve initial reports
  • apply security designation on reports (designating sensitivity level of information or threat/risk level)

  • Design and Execute Investigative Testing: Develop and execute structured test plans to reproduce issues in controlled environments, utilizing track testing, fault-injection, HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing, and customized test tools as necessary
  • Develop Technical Mitigations: Propose and validate short-term and long-term mitigations for field issues, including software changes, hardware/architecture revisions, or operational constraint modifications
  • Iterate System Requirements: Close the feedback loop by translating field data into updated functional requirements (e.g. new detection methods, escalating fault responses) to improve product performance
  • Cross-Functional Technical Coordination: Act as the primary technical point of contact between Hardware Engineering, Embedded Software, Controls Engineering, Field Service and Safety teams to implement and validate multi-layered fixes for complex system-level behaviors
  • Justification and Reporting: Compile technical evidence and data-driven rationales to support any restrictions to the operational status of specific vehicles or configurations, and the necessary short- and long-term remediations to lift those restrictions
