Job Responsibility

  • Ensure daily and weekly project schedules are adhered to and deadlines are met
  • Provide training, mentorship, and hands-on guidance to crew members
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety policies
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant job site
  • Track daily material quantities and manage inventory
  • Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and in safe working condition
  • Complete all required daily, weekly, and project-specific paperwork
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clients
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues promptly
  • Perform ongoing quality checks to ensure work meets standards
  • Represent Flatland Excavating professionally on all job sites

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable MVR required
  • CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and meet I-9 employment eligibility verification
  • Completion of OSHA-10, 30, and 40 (or willingness to complete within 60 days of hire)
  • Previous Construction or foreman experience preferred
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic - punctual, safety conscious, and ready to pitch in where needed
  • Experience using construction tools or operating equipment
