  • Manages a crew, shift, or specific task
  • Reports to Project Superintendent
  • Follow TMG process for daily entries into Project Management System
  • Submit daily timecards that include employee time for payroll, equipment hours (operated, down,and standby), and quantities/ billable items for the shift
  • Include detailed notes in the project diary submission
  • Check grade with GPS unit to check work completion (when no Project Engineer)
  • Ensure site conditions promote safety, efficiency, and minimize equipment wear/ damage
  • 50% or more of time should be spent in the field monitoring production activities
  • Lead pre-shift Safety meetings every shift with Superintendent, cover relevant safety topics and engage crews in discussion
  • Ensure all MSHA regulations are followed and maintain site safety conditions
  • Complete workplace exams before each shift
  • Complete task training using 5000-23 forms utilizing the TMG process for form completion
  • Follow TMG process for completing pre-op forms from employees, submit all paperwork to Superintendent
  • Follow TMG process for incident response, notify Superintendent
  • Notify Superintendent of personnel issues
  • Resolve issues requiring immediate attention
  • Maintain full knowledge of employee handbook
  • Advise Superintendent on personnel needs/ changes
  • Advise Superintendent on employee performance for employee reviews
  • Proficiencies in HeavyJob, Slack, Excel, Email
