Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman Electrician to lead electrical installations, maintenance, and repair projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership abilities, extensive technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. This position involves supervising a team of electricians, ensuring work compliance with electrical codes, and coordinating with project managers and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and manage electrical crews on commercial, industrial, and residential projects
  • Lead, mentor, and guide journeymen and apprentices
  • Work closely with the General Foreman, Electrical Superintendent, and project managers
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols
  • Supervise and assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  • Proficient in working with various conduit types
  • Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues
  • Perform inspections and testing of electrical systems
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical regulations
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other trades
  • Maintain an inventory of electrical materials and tools
  • Document progress, inspections, material usage, and testing results
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety on the job site

Requirements:

  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License (state-specific certification required)
  • 5+ years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes
  • Proven experience with troubleshooting, electrical installations, and repairs in commercial, industrial, or residential settings
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
  • Ability to train, mentor, and lead a team of electricians to achieve high-quality results
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites as needed
