Job Description:

As a US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate at CVS Health, you will complete your required US Internship hours, apply your didactic knowledge to real-world practice, and prepare for a Pharmacist role under preceptor direction. You will participate in pharmacy operations, patient care scenarios, and leadership development to meet licensing and operational requirements. Responsibilities include prescription fulfillment, patient education, workflow management, coaching, and inventory activities. Training programs and hands-on learning opportunities are provided to support your growth.

Job Responsibility:

Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and Technicians manage and improve patient health
Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care
Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history
Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber
Maintaining the highest level of self-awareness and providing in-the-moment coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members
Completing basic inventory activities as directed by the pharmacy leadership team
Contributing to a high-performing team, embracing a growth mindset
Voluntarily traveling to stores in the market to work shifts as needed
Understanding and complying with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles
Delivering additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and staffing offsite clinics where allowable by law

Requirements:

Foreign Graduate from a Non-US Accredited college or school of pharmacy prior to beginning US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate Training Program at CVS
Pharmacist licensure in the state in which the position is based within 120 days of completion of US Intern hours
Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe

Nice to have:

1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
Ability to become immunization certified
Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
