Job Responsibility:
Manage a diverse caseload of foreclosure and real estate litigation cases, including title disputes and curative actions
Represent clients in court for hearings, motion arguments, and other legal proceedings
Develop effective case strategies and prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
Review and analyze loan files, title reports, and other legal documentation to support case objectives
Conduct settlement negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to provide updates and resolve issues
Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive case preparation and effective representation
Stay current with relevant laws and regulations, including the Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure process and Supreme Court Rules
Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level staff, fostering growth within the team
Handle administrative tasks related to case management, ensuring deadlines and compliance requirements are met
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active license in good standing in Illinois
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in litigation, particularly in mortgage foreclosure, creditor rights, or real estate/civil litigation
Strong knowledge of Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure procedures, Illinois Code of Civil Procedure, and Supreme Court Rules
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents
Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple cases simultaneously
Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
Proficiency in legal research and analysis tools to support case preparation and strategy
