Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced expert to join us on a part-time, temporary contract on an ad-hoc basis. This is a unique opportunity to collaborate with high-class professionals and contribute to projects for large, global customers. You will support an AI-driven Supply Chain initiative focused on Forecast Error Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Portfolio Segmentation. The goal is to automate RCA, improve forecast accuracy, and standardize processes across planners—helping our client achieve operational excellence through cutting-edge solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide subject-matter expertise in demand forecasting and inventory planning
  • Support the design and validation of RCA methodologies for forecast errors
  • Advise on segmentation strategies for SKUs/brands based on volatility and business impact
  • Collaborate with AI specialists to ensure forecasting logic aligns with industry best practices
  • Review and validate automated insights and recommended actions generated by AI models

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of forecasting principles, methods, and KPIs (e.g., MAPE, bias, volatility)
  • Experience in Supply Chain planning processes and tools (SAP APO, IBP, or similar)
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis of forecast errors and propose corrective actions
  • Familiarity with portfolio segmentation techniques and demand variability analysis
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in forecasting/demand planning roles

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to AI/ML applications in forecasting
