Grainger is expanding distribution of safety footwear and has an opening in this market. We are seeking a candidate who is sales-minded, customer service oriented and extremely self-motivated. The Sales Representative will operate a 45' tractor‑trailer mobile shoe store(CDL Class A license required) and travel to industrial customer job sites for pre‑scheduled appointments to support company safety‑shoe benefit programs. This role requires some overnight travel Monday–Friday (typically 2-4 overnights per week). Primary responsibility is providing exceptional sales and customer service to company employees. No cold calling. Responsible for providing excellent customer service and efficient operations so as to grow sales and manage costs.
Job Responsibility:
Assist customer with selecting footwear and properly fitting with shoes/boots
Maintain truck stock and inventory levels
Process all customer orders, returns, and exchanges while on the Shoemobile
Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating the Shoemobile in a safe manner at all times
Accurately maintain a DOT logbook in compliance with DOT regulations
Partners with Branch / DC for restocking / replenishment
Partner with our partner Truck Leasing for remote parking, fueling, and maintenance of Shoemobile
Maintain clean and organized warehouse and SM showroom
Requirements:
Class A CDL License Required
Technical abilities to navigate and update systems and tools
Comfort standing for several hours, including frequent bending or reaching
Must pass physical and maintain a current medical card to drive Shoemobile
Clean driving record
