Job Description:

The Foot Care Nurse, based in Banff, is a vital member of Golden Home Caregivers Corp., reporting directly to the Care Coordinator. The Foot Care Nurse provides specialized foot care services to clients, including routine assessments, wound care, toenail trimming, and overall foot health monitoring. The role involves identifying potential issues such as infections or circulation problems and working with the Care Coordinator to ensure timely interventions. The Foot Care Nurse also educates clients on proper foot care techniques and provides advice to prevent future foot-related issues, always maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, dignity, and client comfort.

Job Responsibility:

  • Foot health assessment & treatment
  • Toenail care & wound management
  • Monitor and treat wounds, ulcers, and other foot-related issues
  • Educate clients on proper foot care techniques and prevention
  • Maintain detailed clinical records and report changes in client conditions

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Certification in Foot Care Nursing
  • Experience in Foot Care, Diabetic Foot Care, or Podiatry Nursing
  • Excellent Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
