Job Responsibility

  • Provide professional foot care including: Nail trimming and filing
  • Callus and corn reduction
  • Assessment and care for thickened, fungal, or ingrown nails
  • Identification of potential complications (e.g. ulcers, infections, circulation issues)
  • Conduct foot and lower limb assessments and document findings
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans based on client needs
  • Educate clients on proper foot hygiene, footwear, and self-care strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Adhere to infection control and sterilization protocols at all times
  • Communicate effectively with clients, caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Travel to client homes or residential facilities as required
  • Maintain foot care supplies and equipment
  • Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer
  • Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practicing safely and competently within the job description
  • Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
  • Service the Greater Victoria area
  • Looking for all day time visit (700-1800) weekdays and weekends

Requirements

  • Current registration in good standing as an LPN with CNO
  • Completion of an Advanced Nursing Foot Care Certification from a recognized program
  • Valid CPR/First Aid certification
  • Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (if applicable)
  • Professional liability insurance (as required by regulatory body)

Nice to have

  • 1+ years experience in community nursing or foot care
  • Comfortable working independently in client homes or community settings
  • Experience working with seniors and clients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, or vascular disease
