Job Description:

A modern, incredibly well-resourced Southwark Secondary School with a recent 'Outstanding' Ofsted inspection are on the hunt for a Food Technology Teacher / DT Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a permanent, and full-time contract. The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Food Technology Teacher / DT Teacher who is keen to add value to an expanding Design Technology (DT) Department. The school is renowned for their supportive SLT, and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects. The Head of DT is searching for a Food Technology Teacher who can either teach 100% Food Technology or a minimum of 50% Food Technology as well as another DT Subject. If you are an Experienced Food Technology Teacher searching for additional responsibilities, the Head of School is happy to offer a Pastoral Responsibility as Head of Year or Deputy Head of Year. Early Career Teachers Teachers will be enrolled onto the Schools bespoke ECT induction, benefitting from a DT Teacher Mentor, a central ECT Mentor and being part of the school's ECT support group (typically 6-10 ECTs per year)

Requirements:

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level

  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
