Job Description

An established Alternative Provision in the London Borough of Hillingdon is seeking a dedicated Food Technology specialist to join their committed team on a full-time, temp to perm basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to teach and inspire students who are unable to attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons, predominantly permanent exclusion.

Job Responsibility

  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical Food Technology lessons tailored to varying abilities
  • Support students in developing essential life skills, independence and confidence
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse behavioural and educational needs
  • Build strong, positive relationships to re-engage students in learning
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive, multidisciplinary team

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at KS3 and/or KS4

Nice to have

Experience in Alternative Provision, PRU or working with vulnerable learners
