Job Description:

As a Food Team Leader at IKEA, you will lead, coach, and develop your team to provide an exceptional customer experience, ensure operational compliance, and maintain high food safety standards in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Job Responsibility:

Leading, developing and coaching your team of co-workers to ensure they are given the necessary support, training and guidance to provide an exceptional customer experience
Presenting the food range in an inspiring way and leading your team to have strong food range knowledge and be confident active sellers
Maintaining a high level of quality, operational, cleaning, and food safety standards
Ensuring training compliance and daily operational routines are always in place and accurately recorded
Ensuring the food areas are efficiently maintained, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience
Supporting and managing change within the Food team and with stakeholders in the wider store

Requirements:

Have a minimum of one year of experience in a leadership role (with direct reports) within hospitality, restaurants, fast food, or retail
Lead by example and resonate with the IKEA values
Are familiar with kitchen operations, knowledgeable about food safety and HACCP, and comfortable leading the daily operations in a fast-paced, high-volume operation
Are a confident communicator with customers, co-workers, and stakeholders at all levels
Support and develop your team to have a service-minded and customer-centric approach with every interaction
