Food Teacher

• Teach secondary age pupils
• Drive the new Food subject across the academy
• Purchase necessary resources and set up the food classroom
• Teach engaging and adaptive Food lessons to challenging and disengaged SEND pupils
• Contribute to a small staffing team to ensure the site runs smoothly

• Experienced Food Teacher
• Good knowledge and experience of working with disaffected pupils in a school or other alternative setting
• An affinity for pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
• Resilient with high expectations and a sense of humour
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• Ability to think outside of the box
• Responsible for contributing to a small staffing team
• A growth mindset and positive ethos
• Must have access to a car and business insurance
• Ability to teach engaging and adaptive Food lessons to challenging and disengaged SEND pupils
