Food Services Aide

• Performs a variety of routine tasks and food preparation activities in the operation of the food service department
• Serves resident meals restaurant-style in the main dining room
• Cleans and sanitizes the kitchen and dining area
• Operates commercial dishwasher, washes utensils, pots, and pans

• High School Diploma
• 0-6 months of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services)
• OR 1-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Food Services)
• Knowledge of food service and kitchens
• Knowledge of food service equipment operation
• Knowledge of basic cleaning and sanitation techniques
• Knowledge of and ability to work at a consistent pace
• Knowledge of skills and patience in communicating with elderly and disabled residents and possessing a positive attitude
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Work holidays, evenings, and/or weekends as scheduled
• Be physically active throughout the day (i.e., walking, stooping, bending, lifting)
• Must be able to handle all types of food groups including, but not limited to, poultry, meat, fish, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, spices, and seasonings

Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience
