Job Description:

As a Food Service Team Member, you will prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items while ensuring operational excellence, adhere to food handling and safety standards, manage the Swedish Food Market, maintain and clean kitchen equipment, and contribute to maintaining the IKEA culture.

Job Responsibility:

prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept
adhere to food handling, health, and sustainability standards
respond to customer inquiries to support informed purchases
process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
maintain equipment operation through adherence to operating guidelines
conduct preventative and cleaning maintenance
maintain a clean supply of dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and trays
ensure cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas
manage the Swedish Food Market by overseeing merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and cleaning
ensure accurate and timely price communication on digital platforms, menu boards, and shelf tags
maintain supply rotation and stock adhering to First In, First Out standards
implement policies for goods receiving and monthly inventory
adhere to safe food handling, workplace safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations
contribute to an environment where the IKEA culture is a strong reality

Requirements:

2-3 years related experience preferably in the food service industry/restaurant setting
food handling/safety and dishwashing experience
experience in a high-volume customer-facing environment preferred
experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred
food handler certification and/or food handler card required within 30 days of employment (as required by local jurisdiction)
