Job Description:

Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Food Service Assistant to join our team working at HMP Erlestoke Devizes UK. Job Responsibility:

Cooking and preparing food according to recipes and production guidelines
Adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures
Safely handling knives and equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, broilers
Providing high levels of service of food and/or beverages to customers
Supervising the prisoners in the area producing the meals and delivering table service
Performing cleaning and replenishment duties
Ensuring service area and/or service points are clean and stocked up
Food assembly and service of same in an efficient manner, which may include some light cooking
Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures
Handling cash transactions and ensuring the accurate cash handling procedures are followed
Ability to work with minimal direction and as part of a team

Requirements:

Must have resided in the UK for the past 5 years
Must have legal right to work
Must be able to pass full security vetting and DBS checks
Ideally, previous experience within a catering environment
Must acquire basic food hygiene qualification within first six months of employment
Good understanding of written and spoken English
Customer service experience
Good timekeeping
Must be over 18
