Job Description:

This position is responsible for taking orders, serving drinks and food, acting as cashier, and ensuring that guests are taken care of during their meal. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission and objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe and the Otoe-Missouria Development Authority (OMDA).

Job Responsibility:

  • Taking orders, serving drinks and food, acting as cashier
  • Ensuring guests are taken care of during their meal
  • Greet guests and team members eagerly
  • Assist with guest questions regarding promotions, events, specials
  • Maintain attendance to ensure coverage
  • Maintain Departmental log(s) noting unusual occurrences, incidents, etc.
  • Interact positively with customers daily to ensure 100% customer satisfaction
  • Follow all city, county, state, federal & tribal laws
  • Keep the working area clean and organized
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the casino

Requirements:

  • Prior customer service in a fast-paced environment preferred
  • Excellent customer service/communication skills
  • Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least six (6) months’ server experience in a full-service bar and/or restaurant preferred
  • Basic knowledge of POS systems
  • Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of computers
  • Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Must be able to provide documents to show eligibility to work in the United States
  • Required to pass a drug test and obtain/maintain a gaming license
  • Otoe Missouria Gaming Permit (May be required)
  • Liquor License (May be required)
  • Food Handlers Certification
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. and push/pull/drag up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods

Nice to have:

  • Able to multi-task: able to serve multiple guests and tables at one time
  • Knows menu items and daily specials
  • Ability to upsell items and provide item suggestions
