Job Description:

Supporting food manufacturers and retailers with product innovation including: rheology, new product development, value optimisation, instructional development, pilot plant, quality and food safety manufacturing, thermal processing, new technologies, and regulatory affairs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing and undertaking work on behalf of clients, conducting a variety of analysis across a wide range of techniques
  • Performing tasks related to quality procedures such as equipment calibration and reviews of documents
  • Writing reports for contract and research projects, both internally and externally funded
  • Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to idea generation for food and beverage science and research
  • Assisting with the delivery of training courses

Requirements:

  • A degree in food science, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, or a similar discipline
  • Experience working within a laboratory environment (preferable)
  • Good communication skills and a keen attitude to learn and develop
  • Experience in data analysis and familiarity with statistical analysis techniques (advantageous)
  • Ability to apply knowledge in new situations and manage small projects independently
  • A methodical, proactive approach with a commitment to quality
