Food Runner

• Shows initiative and approaches all tasks with a “can-do” attitude
• Cleans and maintains concession areas
• Helps set up and break down stand at beginning and end of night
• Maintains a professional attitude and appearance
• Keeps the BOH workspace clean and in order
• Sets up BOH areas each day to the venue
• Closes FOH/BOH areas each day to the venue
• Runs food to the correct tables and boxed seat locations
• Ensures all food and beverage meet quality standards
• Possesses knowledge of the food and drink menu and provide detailed descriptions of delivered food products
• Ensures stock rotation of perishables – sauces/condiments in BOH areas
• Responsible for organization of stock around the expediter in BOH areas
• Provides outstanding customer service to enhance guests’ experience
• Performs other duties as assigned by Management
• Shows flexibility by rotating to other service locations when necessary

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, speak and write English in order to communicate with staff and guests
• Ability to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including extended hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to work in an open aired environment during all climate conditions
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Must maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance in accordance with company and venue standards
• Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant standing, reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and transport items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette preferred
• Ability to effectively listen and take direction from management
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting
• Must meet state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcoholic beverage services

SERVSafe and City of Philadelphia Food Safety Personnel Certificate a plus
