The Food Runner is the heartbeat of the dining experience, supporting servers by delivering dishes with care and ensuring the dining experience is polished and welcoming. They’re the vital link between the front and back of the house, ensuring every guest enjoys seamless, attentive service.
Job Responsibility:
Delivering food orders to tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation
Assisting with clearing used plates, glassware, and silverware, and resetting tables with clean linens and tableware
Refilling water glasses and beverages, stocking supplies, and assisting with other tasks as needed by servers or other staff
Greeting guests, providing menus, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Keeping the dining area, service stations, and potentially the kitchen clean and organized
Collaborating with other staff members to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment
Requirements:
Customer service skills: Friendly and attentive interaction with guests
Communication skills: Clear and effective communication with both guests and team members
Multitasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during peak hours
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
Food handling knowledge: Understanding of basic food safety procedures
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing situations and demands in a fast-paced environment
