Job Responsibility:
Plan and create menus together with the Food Production team, ensuring variety, quality, and affordability
Prepare and serve delicious, appealing, healthy, and sustainable food and beverages for daily service and on-site catering
Ensure food safety, quality, and compliance by implementing global and local IKEA standards and legal requirements
Deliver a seamless food experience by securing food availability, presentation, communication, and efficient service times
Handle inventory management, purchasing, and price calculations with accuracy and cost awareness
Actively support IKEA’s sustainability agenda, with a strong focus on waste reduction and responsible resource use
Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure it is always safe and fully operational
Contribute to continuous improvement by acting on feedback from co-workers and visitors
Be flexible and support cross-functional collaboration within Workplace Support when needed
Participate as a member of the first aid and rescue team
Requirements:
A strong passion for food, people, and excellent service
Commitment to IKEA culture, values, and the vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
Good knowledge of food production in a high-volume environment
Strong understanding of food safety standards, compliance requirements, and local food legislation
A service-minded, flexible, and hands-on approach
The ability to take initiative, work under pressure, and turn challenges into actions
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
An organised mindset with the ability to prioritise and deliver results with speed and simplicity
Openness to change and comfort with using technology as an enabler
Minimum 3 years of food production experience
At least 2 years of experience in a multicultural environment
Food Safety qualification (mandatory)
Good communication skills in English and the local language
Proven ability to organise, prioritise, and manage time effectively
Experience in facility, service, meeting, or equivalent operational environments is an advantage
Experience from IKEA Food is preferred
