We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Food Production Manager Floor Manager for a Food Production Facility on Vancouver Island, to lead daily operations within their manufacturing facility. Job Responsibility:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations
Oversee assembly line processes, ensuring products meet quality standards and production targets are achieved
Manage and support team members, providing training and guidance on the use of hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment
Enforce safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
Conduct regular inspections of machinery and workstations to identify mechanical issues or potential hazards
Collaborate with maintenance teams to address mechanical problems promptly and minimize downtime
Maintain accurate records of production output, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance logs
Requirements:
Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility with hands-on knowledge of assembly lines and factory operations
HACCP skills and knowledge of food production
Skills in Food Handling Safety, Sanitation and Hygiene
Strong familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques used in manufacturing environments
Prior warehouse experience is advantageous for understanding logistics flow within the facility
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and promote a safety-first culture
Effective communication skills to coordinate across departments and ensure clarity in instructions

What we offer:
