The Food Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire food production process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement production schedules, considering resource availability, demand, and deadlines
Establish and enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations (like HACCP and GMP) and quality control standards throughout the production process
Lead, train, and supervise production staff, fostering teamwork and ensuring adherence to procedures and regulations
Identify and implement improvements to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products, ensuring timely ordering and minimizing storage costs
Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal operational performance
Develop and manage production budgets, control costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Liaise with other departments, such as quality assurance, supply chain, sales, and marketing, to ensure smooth operations and alignment with company goals and customer requirements
Address and resolve production-related issues promptly and efficiently to minimize disruptions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
Associate's degree diploma with extensive experience accepted
Proven experience in food production management or a similar role with a minimum of 5 years
Strong understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP), quality control standards, and production methodologies
Proficiency in using production management software and data analysis tools
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
ServSafe, SQF, or NYC food safety certificate required.
