We are looking for an eager, detail-oriented individual to join us as the "starting engine" of our manufacturing process, ensuring our recipes are perfectly prepared and food safety standards are second to none. You will be the gatekeeper of quality—managing everything from allergen control and FIFO rotation to coordinating the flow of ingredients into the cooking process. We are looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, a commitment to HACCP/food safety standards, and the physical ability to handle bulk ingredients and equipment safely.
Job Responsibility:
Precision Batching: Read and follow recipes to weigh and dispense ingredients (including bulk items like cream and oil) for the cooking and blending teams
Quality & Safety: Check lot codes, monitor expiration dates, and ensure strict "First In, First Out" (FIFO) rotation of all raw materials
Allergen Control: Execute careful recipe changeovers and sanitization to prevent cross-contamination
Station Management: Setup and maintain your workstation, including the inventory of tools and equipment
Documentation: Complete essential records for traceability, quality control, and productivity
Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe work area using proper chemicals and PPE, including performing deep cleans as required
Communication: Coordinate the flow of batched ingredients to the kitchen and provide detailed shift handovers to the next team
Requirements:
Attention to Detail: Crucial for identifying sub-standard materials and following precise recipe steps
Communication Skills: Proficient in spoken and written English to follow directions and coordinate with Shift Leaders
Safety First: A safety-conscious mindset with the ability to follow all company policies and use PPE correctly
Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, stand, bend, and handle ingredients throughout the shift, including the use of knives and powered equipment (mixers/can openers)
Reliability: Punctual, pleasant, and eager to contribute to a positive team culture
Nice to have:
Preferred Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing is an asset, but we are willing to train the right methodical worker
Technical Readiness: Comfortable being trained on manual and powered pallet trucks for moving materials
What we offer:
Consistent Weekend Schedule: Perfect for students or those looking to supplement their income with Saturday and Sunday shifts
Skill Development: Gain hands-on experience in specialized food manufacturing, HACCP guidelines, and GMP standards
Competitive Pay: Start at $18.48/hr, with a scheduled increase to $20.71/hr once training is successfully completed
Dynamic Environment: Be the "starting engine" of the production process in a role that is vital to the company’s success
Internal Growth: Opportunity to be cross-trained in vegetable processing and the boxing room
