ARAMARK is looking for a Second Cook for Hydro-Québec, East Baie-James Aramark offers a 15/13 work rotation. Transportation is provided by plane from the Bagotville and Rouyn‑Noranda airports. Employees are provided with meals and accommodation in a private room; washer and dryer are available. Aramark offers highly competitive group insurance benefits. Position: Second Cook Location: Hydro‑Québec, East Baie‑James Salary: $26.19/hour The salary will be increased according to the applicable collective agreement after the 300-hour probation period. The work schedule is 70 hours per week. After 55 hours, overtime hours are paid at time and a half. Job Responsibilities Cook and prepare various foods by following production guidelines and standardized recipes Prepare the daily menu Manage kitchen activities (staff, inventory, and ordering as needed) Be able to meet operational needs Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, colleagues, etc. Ensure high-quality food services and customer satisfaction Clean and maintain the workstation Qualifications Preferably hold a Culinary DEP or equivalent experience 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry Strong culinary skills are an asset Experience working in a remote camp is an asset MAPAQ certification Ensure that hygiene and food safety programs are followed Comply with established safety regulations Requirements Medical and life insurance Dental insurance Employee referral program Training and development Safe work environment Career opportunities Work uniforms and meals provided
