Job Description:

As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Operations/ Commercial and Goods Receiving tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Maintaining a clean, organised and inviting area that meets food safety standards and supports a positive customer experience
Preparing, cooking and serving food while following food safety guidelines, production levels and waste control processes
Supporting restaurant cleanliness through tasks such as clearing tables, wiping surfaces, stocktaking and dishwashing
Providing friendly customer service, including active selling, cash handling and operating kitchen equipment such as ovens and fryers
Accurately managing incoming deliveries, with priority given to perishable and frozen products, following all food safety requirements
Keeping the receiving area clean, organised and compliant, while completing required paperwork and system entries
Working effectively with the team to coordinate delivery schedules, solve problems and maintain smooth daily operations
Using safe manual handling practices and maintaining accountability when moving, storing and rotating stock
Applying strong attention to detail, time management and basic numeracy to support accurate documentation and efficient workflow

Requirements:

Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation
Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment
Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded
Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people
Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks
