The F&B reservation clerk responds to communications from guests and referral networks concerning reservations arriving by mail, telephone, fax, or through a central reservation system. Creates and maintains reservation records-usually by date of arrival and outlets listing prepares confirmation and promptly processes any cancellations and modifications. This role is part of the Food & Beverage Service department, reporting into the Membership and Food & Beverage Reservations Manager.
Job Responsibility
To answer calls according to benchmark and Forbes standards to ensure guest needs are met quickly and efficiently
To track Private Dining Room availability based on reservations and helps develop forecasts for restaurants revenue and occupancy
To know the positioning statement of restaurants the hotel has as well as their location and layout
To know all restaurants promotion plans-meaning status, rates, and benefits, updating availability of all restaurants booking systems. Mark guest information and requirements accurately, follow-up PDR deposit
To follow deposit, receive and record when guests book Private Dining Room. Record Guests information, send deposit message, remark detail after received deposit
Responsible for selling the restaurant and providing information to prospective guests. To capture sales from the incoming calls and coordinate details of each reservation to ensure the guest’s satisfaction
Requirements
A minimum of one year of administrative experience, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant related field or other equivalent experience is required
Requires knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment including word processing and spreadsheet software
Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Has strong interpersonal skills, is able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation
Requires basic computer skills for online training
Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English and Chinese language
Has the ability to anticipate and prioritize the needs of the guest proactively
Is energetic and has a professional approach to his/her craft
