We currently have an amazing opportunity to join the team as Food & Beverage Manager at Lumley Castle Hotel. Lumley Castle is a busy 71-bedroom 4 Star Hotel which is both a popular wedding venue as well as hosting a range of meeting and conference facilities. We also focus on special events ranging from Elizabethan Banquets, Nights with the Spirits, and Murder Mysteries.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the General Manager with operational activities in the F&B Department
Deliver excellence across all F&B activities
Maximise profits and exploit opportunities for improved efficiencies
Effectively lead and develop a highly-motivated team to exceed customer expectations
Act as a Duty Manager within your working shift
Be a strong, dynamic manager who can motivate and lead a team
Ensure a safe, secure and hygienic environment
Promote products to customers
Respond promptly to service needs
Check customer satisfaction
Deal with accurate payments in accordance with standards
Warmly receive all visitors and anticipate their needs
Chair departmental meetings and participate in reviews
Demonstrate full compliance and commitment to Brand standards
Comply with any other reasonable request
Develop, motivate and support your team
Achieve food and beverage revenue targets and profit conversions
Plan and manage staffing levels effectively
Achieve budgeted margins for food and liquor
Monitor and evaluate purchase requests
Ensure staff are trained on product knowledge and wine specifications
Professionally address queries or complaints from guests
Ensure all Food and Beverage activities exceed service standards
Monitor the quality of set up for different service levels
Participate in all menu changes including assisting with costs management
Maintain and update the Food & Beverage point of sales
Drive team performance to achieve revenue targets
Provide clear direction to the team
Effectively recruit, select and manage team members
Ensure daily briefings are carried out
Keep updated of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene legislation
Complete annual and bi-annual reviews with direct reports

Requirements:
At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
Ability to deliver great service
Passionate about hospitality
Reliable
Willing to learn
Experienced in Food and Beverage management
Worked within a busy upscale business
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Good leadership skills
Confidence to liaise with other departments
Ability to think on your feet
Can-do attitude
Flexibility to work weekends, early starts, and late finishes
Demonstrate good computer skills (MS Office)
Impeccably presented and socially confident in all situations
