We are seeking an enthusiastic and guest-focused Food & Beverage Assistant to join our team in our 83-bedroom hotel situated in the stunning North West Highlands of Scotland. You will play a key role in delivering warm hospitality and exceptional service across our dining areas, bar, lounge, and events spaces. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a friendly, fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys creating memorable experiences for guests.
Job Responsibility:
Provide professional, welcoming, and attentive service to all guests
Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
Serve meals, beverages, and afternoon teas according to hotel standards
Prepare and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks (training provided if needed)
Ensure bar, restaurant, and lounge areas are clean, tidy, and well-presented
Deliver friendly, positive, and personalised service at all times
Assist guests with menu recommendations and dietary requirements
Resolve guest queries or escalate to management as required
Maintain a strong understanding of daily menus, specials, and promotions
Set up, clear, and reset tables efficiently
Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and event service as scheduled
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures
Support colleagues across different service areas when required
Handle payments, operate tills, and maintain accurate cash handling processes
Requirements:
A positive attitude and passion for hospitality
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-moving environment
Reliability, punctuality, and strong teamwork skills
Nice to have:
Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, or hotel environment
Basic understanding of food hygiene and allergens (training available)
Experience handling point-of-sale systems
