Under general supervision, this position reports to the Director of Food and Beverage with responsibilities to include assistance in all areas of Food & Beverage. This position requires coordination and assistance with all departments of the DCU Center and ensures that all operations of Food and Beverage are working in an effective and timely manner.
Job Responsibility:
Assist in developing and implementing Food and Beverage training programs, polices, and procedures
Have the ability to take direction from leadership and effectively organize and supervise all part-time Food and Beverage staff
Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved and how to execute. Reward and recognize employees
Utilize Catering software to create and BEOs, Accurately compute all menu costs for sales opportunities as well as on-going menu revisions
Provide the highest customer service excellence
Oversees food and beverage operations during events to ensure client satisfaction
Create schedules as needed
Follow all card handling policies and procedures, as well as other Legends Global, Savor and building specific policies and procedures
Record keeping, reports, monthly Concessions & Catering Inventory
Meet deadlines for reports and /or projects required by General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and/or Director of Food and Beverage
Ensure all Savor Food and Beverage policies and procedures are followed
Assist the food & Beverage Department in maintaining a Health Department score of 90 or higher
Exhibit attention to detail and consistency in every aspect of service
Demonstrate the ability at problem solving, planning, organizing, and logistics
Follow all rules and regulations regarding the Savor Safe Alcohol Management Program
Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (including other departments)
Enforce all sanitation procedures including safety guidelines and OSHA requirements
Position will help oversee all food and beverage departments. Concessions, Beverge, Suites, Catering, and Kitchen when needed
Perform any reasonable requests assigned by management for staffing and performance needs
Other duties as assigned
Based on Event Schedule, position will supervise all part-time food and beverage employees to ensure all those positions are providing the services required in a safe and timely fashion
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
At least 3 years of experience in hospitality, servicing food and beverage
ServSafe certified (Food Handler, Allergen, and Alcohol trainings) within 1st 90 days
Ability to work in different departments based on events and importance
Ability to be creative with presentations and maintain a quality product
Attention to detail and service oriented
Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, mid-shifts, early mornings
Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks
Excellent organizational, planning, communication and inter-personal skills
Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Able to push/pull/lift 50lbs on a consistent basis
Ability to perform arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds, up and down stairs up to 400 feet about 15 times per shift
Intermediate computer skills of all Microsoft Office products, especially with MS Excel
