In this inspiring new workplace, we will operate two-floors of private members co-working space - 31 private offices and a total of 303 desks, with café and bar – all just a stone’s throw from High Street Kensington. Your new role - starting from mid March! We are now hiring the team of skilled and passionate Food and Beverage Associates to join our Oria Café. You will be multiskilled – in food, beverage and bar service. You will be responsible for creating a unique food & beverage experience for our clients, providing efficient and courteous service. You will be knowledgeable about the ingredients and nutritional facts. Crafting and serving high-quality coffee and smoothies to our customers - delivering exceptional customer service. Your knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, attention to detail, and ability to create a warm and inviting atmosphere will contribute to an enjoyable dining and beverage experience for our customers and members.
Job Responsibility:
Greet customers warmly, take their orders, and provide recommendations based on their preferences
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages based on customer preferences and our menu
Maintaining a clean and organised bar area according to established guidelines and ensuring all supplies are well-stocked
Handling cash transactions and accurately processing payments
Engaging with customers, building rapport, and ensuring their overall satisfaction
Adhering to all relevant health and safety and food/bar regulations
Collaborating with team members and communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations
Stay updated on industry trends, new coffee blends, and brewing techniques
Participate in training sessions to expand knowledge of coffee varieties and flavour profiles
Accurate records, pre-checks and pick up all food and beverage orders
Serves clients their food and beverage promptly and courteously and pay attention to details and the sequence of service
Sets tables as needed prior to client’s arrival
Ensures that the working area and station are stocked with “mise-en-place” and always kept clean and tidy
Always ensures the smooth running of the assigned station
Ensure you understand the well-being and functional elements of the menu and can provide knowledgeable information to the members
Maintains a thorough working knowledge of food and beverage menus, to be able to advise clients on selection and promote additional sales accordingly
Promote additional sales by taking opportunities to up-sell, in a manner that is professional and courteous
Make clear orders to kitchen
Serves orders for food and beverage to guests in the restaurant to the Company standards
Build good working relations with all departments
Any other duties required by your manager
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Server/Barista/Bar Person or in a similar role is preferred but not required
Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and coffee preparation techniques
Interest in nutrition and functional ingredients, adaptogenic drinks and wellness
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Flexibility to work early mornings and occasional weekends
