Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced FMLA Specialist to support time-sensitive leave administration within a fast-paced HR environment. This role is responsible for managing employee leave requests in compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality and delivering a high level of employee support.

Job Responsibility:

  • Administer and track FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs in accordance with applicable laws and company policies
  • Review, process, and manage leave requests and supporting documentation within required timelines
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, managers, and HR partners regarding leave-related inquiries
  • Ensure accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and data entry in HRIS systems
  • Maintain confidential employee information with the highest level of discretion
  • Communicate leave decisions clearly and professionally, including eligibility, approvals, denials, and return-to-work requirements
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams to ensure accurate coordination and compliance
  • Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up to ensure timely completion of all leave processes

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of HR experience, with direct involvement in FMLA or leave administration strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and related employment laws
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive workloads
  • Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities

  • Experience in high-volume or fast-paced HR environments
  • Prior work supporting healthcare, higher education, government, or corporate HR teams
