Looking to futher advance your career? This may be the role for you! We are seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of FM4 Captain on our Saltwater team at Mowi Canada East Inc. This position will be based on our farm sites located on the South Coast of Newfoundland. This is a permanent, full-time position with a shift schedule of two weeks on, two weeks off.
Job Responsibility:
Safe and efficient operation of the vessel/barge
Safe and efficient management of the vessel/barge and crew
Ensure all equipment and property is maintained at the highest level
Ensure that all laws, government regulations are adhered to
Ensure all environmental regulations certification criteria are met
Onsite leadership role providing assisting with operational planning and leading implementation
Requirements:
Fishing Master Class 4 Certificate is required
Leadership and project management abilities
Respect for the need for safe working practices and animal welfare
Well-developed English verbal and written communication
Good computer and document management knowledge
A positive attitude, willingness to learn and participate in training opportunities
Ability to work safely and effectively in challenging outdoor weather
Flexible approach to working to meet the demands of the job
Physical capability to complete repetitive tasks and handle material up to 25kg
Comfortable working in remote locations, outside, and on the water
Ability to work a two week on, two week off shift
Possibility of onsite living on company accommodation barge
Legal eligibility to work in Canada
