Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Engineer specializing in Fly-By-Wire (FBW) and Secondary Flight Control Systems to join a dynamic aerospace team in Montreal.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the integration of FBW and secondary flight control systems at the aircraft level
  • Collaborate with system suppliers to define concepts, design approaches, and overall architecture
  • Conduct and review feasibility analyses to support system development
  • Develop, validate, and verify technical requirements
  • Prepare and review system requirements, test procedures, and certification reports
  • Execute testing on rigs and aircraft, supporting certification activities
  • Investigate in-service issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with ARP4754 development processes
  • Contribute to trade studies and lifecycle cost evaluations for future programs
  • Ensure alignment with internal engineering standards and requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Direct involvement in the definition and certification of FBW and/or secondary flight control systems
  • Strong understanding of system integration, certification, and aircraft interfaces (electrical, hydraulic, avionics, autoflight)
  • Knowledge of Part 25 certification requirements
  • Experience with modeling and simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow preferred)
  • Familiarity with tools such as ADAMS or CATIA is an asset
  • Experience with requirements management tools and MS Office
  • Strong autonomy, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive mindset with solid engineering judgment and a results-driven approach
