This role will see you travel across the picturesque Wessex Water region, which covers Bristol, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Bridgwater and everything in between looking after our regulatory MCerts flow and level monitoring devices.
Job Responsibility:
installing, commissioning and maintaining flow measurement and EDM level monitoring equipment at our water recycling centres, water treatment centres and pumping stations
checking, calibrating and adjusting electronic sensors, monitors and loggers
auditing and certifying flow measurement installations to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
responding to faults and breakdowns and organising repairs and remedial works
carrying out secondary verifications using a variety of portable meters
carrying out checks on river gauging stations and commissioning new flow meter installs
Requirements:
good maths and English (ideally, to GCSE level or equivalent)
IT literacy
confined space trained (although training can be given)
excellent problem solving and fault-finding skills
good ability to plan own workload
a level 2 NVQ in electrical maintenance (advantageous but not essential, as full training will be given to the successful applicant)
holding a full clean driving licence is essential
