Floor technician

• Utilizes protective gear in all appropriate functions
• Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas to ensure that quality standards, saftey guidelines and customer service expectations are met
• The floor technician is responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned cleaning area according to schedulw
• Reports equipment/ cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
• Is responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all saftey precautions
• The floor care technician is responsible for collecting trash/ recycling/ laundry in an outside/ soiled linen from units and for the proper disposal of trash/ recycling/ laundry in an outside/ soiled linen barrel container

• The ability to read, write, and speak english is essential
• No formal education is required. A high school diploma is desirable
• The ability to provide and follow oral, written,and verbal instructions is vital
• The ability to work in a healthcare environment and conduct themselves professionally and appropriately as required
• High School graduate or equivalent education is preferred
• Motor coordination and manual dexterity are required to operate equipment
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
• Ability to read and understand work assignments
• Able and willing to work flexible hours, such as during an emergency
• Must be patient and tolerant toward staff, residents, and family members
• Must be free from infection or disease
• Must be able to lift and or carry 50 to 75 pounds
