With the launch of our new veterinary practices, we are looking for a full-time Floating Associate Veterinarian to join our Healthcare Practice Team practicing at multiple locations in SE Florida. As a clinical team member, you’ll work in a practice crafted from the ground up by veterinarians, equipped with advanced equipment and purpose-built technology so that you can practice your best medicine and focus on patient and pet parent care. Job Responsibility:

  • Empower team to deliver an unparalleled client experience
  • Develop a rapport with clients and resolve their needs and wishes
  • Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures
  • Master medical skills and perform basic surgery
  • Explain examination findings and communicate a diagnosis
  • Generate and present a treatment plan to the client
  • Educate clients on preventative health care
  • Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records
  • Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
  • Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team
  • Positively represent the clinic in the professional community and to the public
  • Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants
  • Participate in self-development courses and required compliance training
  • Perform related duties and assignments by management
  • Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures
  • Position may require some travel

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) required
  • Active State license in good standing
  • DEA license and other state credentials as required
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in general medicine and surgery
  • residency or internship trained
  • 2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferred
  • Multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability
  • Outstanding listening and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals in a team-oriented environment
  • Passionate about helping people and pets with compassion and excellent customer service focus
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast paced, self-starter environment
  • Physical requirements: Standing or walking up to 80% per shift
  • Frequently lift up 50 to 70 pounds using an optional team lift
  • Occasionally lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift
  • Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel
