Job Responsibility:
Empower team to deliver an unparalleled client experience
Develop a rapport with clients and resolve their needs and wishes
Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures
Master medical skills and perform basic surgery
Explain examination findings and communicate a diagnosis
Generate and present a treatment plan to the client
Educate clients on preventative health care
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records
Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team
Positively represent the clinic in the professional community and to the public
Support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants
Participate in self-development courses and required compliance training
Perform related duties and assignments by management
Oversee operating, safety, and compliance procedures
Position may require some travel
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM, VMD) required
Active State license in good standing
DEA license and other state credentials as required
2 - 3 years’ experience in general medicine and surgery
residency or internship trained
2 years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines preferred
Multi-task with a high degree of integrity and accountability
Outstanding listening and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable collaborating with other veterinary professionals in a team-oriented environment
Passionate about helping people and pets with compassion and excellent customer service focus
Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast paced, self-starter environment
Physical requirements: Standing or walking up to 80% per shift
Frequently lift up 50 to 70 pounds using an optional team lift
Occasionally lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift
