Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Floater - Universal Banker to join our team in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. This Contract to permanent position involves delivering exceptional member service by providing tailored banking solutions and fostering strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial products and services, along with the ability to travel between branches as needed.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct in-depth needs assessments to recommend suitable financial products and services to clients
  • Open and maintain consumer and business accounts while ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Perform consumer loan interviews, evaluate creditworthiness, and manage loan closings effectively
  • Provide guidance on mortgage and credit union partner offerings, serving as a knowledgeable resource for members
  • Handle cash transactions, balance branch inventories, and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Cross-sell relevant programs and services to meet member needs and achieve branch goals
  • Supervise branch staff as required, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in community events and projects to enhance the credit union's visibility
  • Travel to various branch locations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in banking, financial services, or a related customer service role
  • Strong knowledge of banking operations, including cash handling and transaction processing
  • Proficiency in performing needs-based consultations and recommending financial solutions
  • Familiarity with consumer loan processes, including credit report analysis and loan closings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different branch environments
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to maintaining policy compliance
  • Willingness to travel to multiple branch locations as part of the floater role
