The Boeing Company is looking for a Flight Test Quality Manager to join our 2nd shift team in Patuxent River, MD. This role will lead the quality team in support of the MQ-25 flight test program. Travel will be required up to 25% of the time.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Requirements

  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
  • 3+ years of experience with flight line operations
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Assurance specifications and requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in Maintenance Planning Operations
  • 3+ years of experience documenting corrective actions and non-conformance
  • 1+ years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams
  • Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time domestically

Nice to have

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or an FAA Repairman's certificate
  • 5+ years of experience working in flight line operations
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams
