The Boeing Company is looking for a Flight Test Quality Manager to join our 2nd shift team in Patuxent River, MD. This role will lead the quality team in support of the MQ-25 flight test program. Travel will be required up to 25% of the time.
Job Responsibility
Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Requirements
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
3+ years of experience with flight line operations
3+ years of experience with Quality Assurance specifications and requirements
3+ years of experience in Maintenance Planning Operations
3+ years of experience documenting corrective actions and non-conformance
1+ years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams
Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time domestically
Nice to have
Associate's degree or higher
Have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or an FAA Repairman's certificate
5+ years of experience working in flight line operations
5+ years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams
3+ years of experience with release of aircraft for flight
