Job Description:

Flight Test Instrumentation System Engineer and Operations. A job vacancy has arisen in Airbus Defence & Space. The successful applicant will become part of a team based in Sevilla but working in close connection with teams based in different sites. The main responsabilities will consist of supporting the Flight Test Instrumentation System and Operations team and ensure that Flight test means systems are designed, developed, operated and maintained in order to support all flight testing activities. The successful applicant will join Engineering Department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collecting the flight test means requirements : capturing, challenging and tailoring a solution in close contact with the stakeholders and settle/agree a flight test means verification and validation strategy
  • Supporting the design and production areas during the process of the flight test means integration in A/C
  • Coordinates with the customer, airworthiness and other external stakeholders in order to ensure that the right system is built, and collect the necessary evidence to prove that the system onboard is fit for purpose and safe through a validation statement
  • Operates the flight test means (airborne and ground) keeping to the safety standards. Preparing the FTM for flight performing the necessary functional checks and supporting the flight test campaigns
  • Process the data collected during the flight testing activities and provide to the customer with the necessary data and also stores this data according to the required security level
  • Keeps the FTM configuration under control and in an airworthy condition performing the necessary maintenance and first level troubleshooting when necessary

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Spanish mother tongue or equivalent
  • English Advanced Level required
  • French and / or German will be valued
