Job Description:

This is a truly unique opportunity in the field of flight simulation and aviation training. Whether you’re starting your career in simulation technology or bringing years of experience to a new challenge, ITPS offers an unmatched environment. The Flight Simulator Technician will play a key role in the setup, maintenance, and enhancement of ITPS’s Mission Combat Simulator (MCS) systems—used to deliver advanced flight and mission training. The role includes supporting simulator sessions, calibrating hardware, troubleshooting software issues, and integrating new simulation technologies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operate and maintain Mission Combat Simulator (MCS) systems for flight test and tactical training
  • Configure, test, and prepare simulator sessions, including F/A-18, F-16, and L-39 mission profiles
  • Support hardware and software troubleshooting to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime
  • Calibrate projection systems, avionics panels, and flight control interfaces
  • Collaborate with instructors to develop and refine training modules, scenarios, and mission content
  • Integrate and test new simulation technologies and software updates
  • Provide technical support to instructors and students during live simulator sessions
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures within the simulation centre

Requirements:

  • Strong enthusiasm for flight simulation, aviation, and mission systems
  • Technical aptitude with computer systems, simulator software, and network configuration
  • Experience with DCS World, X-Plane, or Prepar3D (particularly F/A-18, F-16, and L-39 modules) is a significant asset
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve both hardware and software issues
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively in a dynamic training environment
  • Reliable transportation to and from the workplace

Nice to have:

  • Experience creating or editing missions/scenarios in DCS, Prepar3D, or similar environments
  • Familiarity with LUA scripting, multiplayer setup, and mission server configuration
  • Understanding of mixed-reality simulation, LVCT systems, or networked training architectures
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of flight dynamics, avionics systems, and aircraft operations
  • Previous experience in aviation, military, or technical training environments

  • Conduct flight crew training of customer pilots during the full flight simulator phase of training at both local and remote, including international, locations
  • Conduct, as tutor, training of new flight instructors both in the classroom and in the simulator
  • The ability to perform all the duties required of a Flight Training Instructor, including procedures training and technical instruction
  • Conduct thorough briefings prior to each training session, as well as debriefings at the end of each training session, to ensure that the customer is fully aware of the training profile, associated pilot competencies, required standards, and his/her performance
  • Evaluate and accurately document training session performance and progress in the relevant records and reports
  • Report any customer training problems or conflicts to Flight Training management
  • Perform non-instructional duties as directed by Head of Training, including course development and trial tasks, customer liaison, audits and revisions of existing training programs
  • Communicate with the simulator maintenance technicians to report any simulator problems or malfunctions
  • Under the direction of Head of Training, uphold Boeing instructional standards, including the conduct of Standardization Checks on other Boeing and contract instructors
  • Examiner's would conduct regulatory examinations (License Skill Tests, License Proficiency Checks and, where appropriate, Assessments of Competence) of customer and Boeing flight crew and instructors at local and remote, including international, sites
