Job Description:

The role focuses on reviewing, resolving and managing customer queries related to data updates by ensuring accuracy of the navigational databases, analyzing aeronautical information publications and maintaining optimal functionality of flight planning software. The Flight Planning Data Analyst has a deep understanding of aviation which is crucial to perform everyday tasks.

Job Responsibility:

  • Analyse relevant aeronautical State Publications that require changes to be made to the Flight Planning navigation database
  • Update database in line with specification and quality standards
  • Analyse customer queries related to data supplied, rectify and diagnose the difficulties
  • Communicate effectively within, and collaborate with the team in order to meet the departmental objectives
  • Clarify any source data problems from various countries’ Aeronautical Information Departments
  • Liaise with the relevant departments for queries including State source data problems

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the aviation and aeronautical industry (OCC preferred)
  • Previous experience in Commercial Flight Operations as a: Dispatcher, Operations Controller
  • Aircraft Dispatch license
  • Ability to decode: METAR, TAF, and NOTAMs
  • Working knowledge of AIP, enroute charts, and procedure plates
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • University degree, preferably in aviation, geography or IT
  • Agile and SAFe methodologies working knowledge
  • IT literacy
  • Ability to learn bespoke software

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in Commercial Flight Operations as a: Dispatcher, Operations Controller is an asset
  • Aircraft Dispatch license license is an asset
