Our Flight Crew Training Team Leader holds a pivotal role within the Crew Planning team, overseeing the comprehensive scheduling and execution of our training programs for all Flight Crew under the TUI Airways & TUIFly Nordic AOC. This role extends to managing the shift-based training team who will ensure the fulfilment of all operational training requirements, including those for cabin crew up to the day of operation.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, engage, and develop the Flight Crew Training Team
Provide comprehensive briefs and updates to Flight Operations Leadership
Oversee the effective rostering, operational delivery, and documentation of all flight crew training requirements
Responsible for the delivery of all crew training requirements to operational crew
Work closely with Crew Planning Managers to ensure an integrated and collaborative approach to the Training Plan
Proactively liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders across the business
Respond to flight crew queries and feedback promptly
Attend and support Trade Union meetings as required
Provide effective communication channels, guidance materials, and training packages
Requirements:
Excellent leadership experience and ability to coach and develop a team
Ability to operate within a virtual airline, with multiple customers and stakeholders across Northern Region
A skilled communicator with the proven ability to influence and partner senior leaders
Proven ability to employ analytical tools to improve roster quality and demonstrate an understanding of the impact of roster quality on safety
A stress resilient person that finds energy in solving problems under time pressure
Ability to think commercially and strategically whilst ensuring safety objectives and full regulatory compliance is achieved and maintained
A self-motivated leader who takes the initiative and works collaboratively with a track record of motivating and developing teams
A thinker with the ability to generate ideas and alternatives
Demonstrable ability to clearly articulate concepts and arguments verbally and in written documentation
