The Flight Crew Demand & Slip Senior Specialist ensures accurate manpower planning by building and adjusting demand plans and slip patterns. They align plans with operational needs, (re)budget timelines, and dynamic changes from Aviation Planning while maintaining up-to-date IT tools, they decide on the different scenarios to test and make decisions with large cost and resource implications.
Job Responsibility:
Support the creation and maintenance of detailed Flight Crew demand plans by gathering, analysing, and validating data related to flying programs, fleet changes, and operational plans
Incorporate variables such as leave, standby, training, sickness, and inefficiencies into the Flight Crew demand plan
Build and adjust slip patterns and master weeks for Flight Crew as required
Support the development of confidential 'what-if' scenario planning by preparing accurate data inputs, running simulations, and analysing potential impact
Collaborate with operations, training, HR, and other departments to ensure Flight Crew demand aligns with broader manpower planning objectives
Act as a key contributor to union negotiations at the AOC level
Support the development of leave quotas and training delivery plans
Support and maintain IT tools used for Flight Crew Demand calculation
Monitor changes in demand driven by Aviation Planning updates and re-budget accordingly
Requirements:
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships
Stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence
Sound organisational and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
Excellent analytical skills, both in process and report domains
Experience in Manpower Planning preferably within the Aviation industry
Understanding of local labour regulations and contractual agreements in the aviation sector
Strong business English, both spoken and written
Nice to have:
Experience in Manpower Planning within the Aviation industry
Willingness for international travel a couple of days per month
