Join Our Team as a Bank Nursery Practitioner. Looking for flexible nursery work that fits around your life? Whether you're balancing studies, family life, another role, or simply looking for the freedom to choose your shifts, our Bank Nursery Practitioner opportunities offer flexible, casual work within a warm and supportive nursery community. At The Old Station Nursery, we believe everyone is still growing - little humans and big humans alike. That's why, when you join our bank team at Stowmarket Nursery, you'll enjoy the flexibility of casual work alongside the support, training and connection of a caring nursery team where you'll always feel part of something bigger. Where You'll Be Working: Our Stowmarket Nursery is conveniently located in the centre of Stowmarket within Union Street West car park, just off Gipping Way Road, a community nursery where our children flourish. Stowmarket children start their journey here at our Stowmarket Day Nursery and then progress to our pre-school, which is on the same site. Our setting is perfectly sized so that children are in small groups and can develop at their own pace. The nursery has two rooms with an inside garden and plenty of opportunity to play outside and explore the world around them in the town on our trips out. What You'll Be Doing: As part of our Bank Nursery Team, you'll support children and colleagues across the nursery as and when needed - whether that's covering holidays, supporting during busy periods, or helping provide consistency for children when teams need extra support. No two days are ever quite the same - and that's part of the joy. One moment you could be building dens outdoors and the next you'll be helping bring story time to life. You'll support children through play, creativity, curiosity, and connection while helping create a safe, nurturing environment where they feel happy, valued, and confident to explore.
