Job Description

The Flex Sr. Manager, AX Product Designer plays a critical role in creating industry-leading associate-facing digital experiences across Marriott International's brands. The role requires experience in UX, UI, and product design with a strong focus on the needs of enterprise associates and a robust portfolio showcasing visual design skills. The position emphasizes collaboration with product management, business, and technology colleagues while championing UX best practices and ensuring seamless user experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in digital product design, UX/UI, and/or experience design
  • 4-year undergraduate degree, with bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience
  • demonstrated success in creating end-to-end UX design and supporting engineering throughout the development lifecycle for digital products
  • ideally for associate/employee-facing and/or enterprise products
  • solid background/understanding of UX, design thinking, methodology, and design operations
  • proven experience using design systems, delivering concepts, user flows/ journeys, wireframes, prototypes, etc. across platforms (desktop, mobile web, app, etc.) with accessibility and inclusivity in mind
  • understands and advocates for associate needs and how those manifests through digital experiences
  • promotes UX best practices drawn from a variety of disciplines (within and beyond hospitality)
  • proactively maintains a keen focus across product areas, user research insights, and technical feasibility to ensure journey-wide synergy
  • communicates with designers, product manager, and developers through appropriate visuals, annotations, documentation, and deliverables
  • proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in support of specific business and development priorities, works well with counterparts from various disciplines, and influencing work of counterparts without direct reporting accountability, through strong interpersonal skills
