This is a temporary position. Assist RMAS Revenue Managers with non-stakeholder-facing tasks, including but not limited to preparing for sales strategy meetings; managing room authorizations, rates, and restrictions, including communicating rate restrictions and strategies to properties; supporting account diagnostics and monitoring transient and group inventory to ensure straight-line availability; implementing hotel sales strategies in the reservation and inventory systems; escalating technical questions related to the reservations and property management systems to the appropriate support desk in a timely manner; and monitoring compliance with and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels.
Job Responsibility:
Assist RMAS Revenue Managers with non-stakeholder-facing tasks
Preparing for sales strategy meetings

Supporting account diagnostics and monitoring transient and group inventory
Implementing hotel sales strategies in the reservation and inventory systems
Escalating technical questions related to the reservations and property management systems
Monitoring compliance with and participation in company promotions and eCommerce channels
Supports RMAS Revenue Managers during the transition period
Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution
Using computers and computer systems to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information
Identifies the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information
Generates and provides accurate and timely results
Assists RMAS Revenue Managers with sales strategy analysis
Analyzes period-end and other available systems data
Facilitates updates on the transient segments
Assists with the account diagnostics process
Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes

Manages rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue
Assists RMs with pricing and provides input on business evaluation
Uses reservations systems and demand forecasting systems
Checks distribution channels for hotel positioning
Confirms property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used
Initiates, implements, and evaluates revenue tests and audits
Communicates brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis
Understands and communicates the value of the brand name
Supports all co-workers and treats them with dignity and respect
Handles sensitive issues with employees and/or guests
Develops and maintains positive and productive working relationships
Informs and/or updates the executives, the peers, and the subordinates
Attends staff/forecast/long-range meetings as needed
Requirements:
2-year degree from an accredited university or related experience in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
1 year of experience in the revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area
OR 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university or related experience in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
1 year of experience in the revenue management, sales and marketing, or related professional area
Knowledge of revenue management concepts, processes, and strategies
Skill in using a Yield Management system and interpreting pricing and inventory reports
Ability to analyze and summarize detailed data
Skill in collecting information from a variety of sources
Ability to manage rooms and function space restrictions
Willingness to learn and ability to use computer systems and software packages
Knowledge of economic principles and practices, P&L statements, operating budgets, forecasting and scheduling
Knowledge of sales and marketing concepts
Uses basic computer hardware and software
Demonstrates ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly
Demonstrates ability to listen to and understand information
