ATR is looking for a Fleet Structural Support Heavy Repair engineer to come onboard in our Structure Fleet Support Department. The role involves designing structural repairs, providing customer support, managing subcontractors, leading on-site assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance to deliver excellent products and support to customers.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out the design of structural repairs for complex issues requiring prompt resolution
Provide support for minor and major repairs required by clients on a longer-term support basis
Investigate the existence of previous cases of damage and similar repairs to ensure consistent support
Develop generic repair procedures to efficiently address recurring issues
Customer and Stakeholder Liaison
Oversee the entire life cycle of global critical queries
Actively participate in Design Organization activities by preparing, approving and releasing critical approval documents
Manage the portfolio of subcontractors
Lead and define scope of on-site damage assessment missions
Ensure technical coordination and liaison between customers, ATR Part145 team and the structures engineering teams at ATR HQ’s
Ensure strict adherence to existing procedures for the treatment of repairs
Provide technical advice to guide the choices for selection and introduction of repetitive repairs into the Structural Repair Manual
Validate Maintenance Procedures and participate to the vetting of Service Bulletins
Requirements:
Field of study: aeronautical structures or mechanical engineering
Experience: minimum 10 years of experience, with a minimum of 6 years in aircraft structure stress analysis or repair
Proficiency in aircraft structures (preferably ATR structures)
Expertise in aircraft structural repair principles (both metallic and composite)
In-depth knowledge of metallic and composite materials
Good knowledge of Part21J, Part21G, Part145 regulations and JAR/FAR/CS-25
Familiarity with non-destructive testing methods
Fluent in English and French
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Autonomous and rigorous with strong organizational skills
Open-minded, positive thinking, and an excellent team player
Strong customer orientation
Demonstrated ability to train and mentor other engineers
Capability to develop a productive network
Global vision and capacity to address technical issues in a holistic manner
Problem-solving and capacity to work under pressure
Participation in stand-by duties during evenings, nights, weekends and weekend nights
Flexibility and readiness to travel abroad, sometimes within short notice
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Leonardo / Airbus drawings is a plus
Italian and other languages are a plus
Familiarity with ATR IT tools (CRM, SAMONIT, GILDA) is advantageous
